Have you ever heard the phrase, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it?"

Us, neither. Oh, wait yes we have. But that doesn't really have anything to do with fixed rate second mortgages, which is what this page is supposed to be about, so we don't know why you brought it up anyway.

Fixed rate second mortgages are great because the rates won't ever change. I mean, you can change your shirt, you can change your mind, you can change your pants, you can change your sexual orientation, - you can change whatever you want - but with fixed rate second mortgages - your rate will be more stable than your therapist on Prozac.

The difference between regular mortgages and second mortgages is that the latter of the two comes after the first. Ok, that is only one difference, but it is relevant. You can get fixed rate second mortgages if you need to take out more money using your home equity as collateral. Perhaps you need to send your kids to school. Perhaps you need to go to college. Perhaps you want to buy a car. Perhaps you want to send your kids to school, but them a car, go on vacation, and build a giant statue out of macaroni! No matter what your need, fixed rate second mortgages will bring you up to speed! Woo-hoo! Jumpin' junipers!

But wait.

What about refinance second mortgages? Those are great too. Kind of like Kraft Cheese and Macaroni. The macaroni is good, but it wouldn't be the same without the cheese. We think fixed rate second mortgages are awesome, but they wouldn't be the same without the cheese. No wait, that's not what we're trying to say whatsoever. It must be Thursday. Thursday is always a really crazy day. Well that and Wednesday. Yeah Wednesday is always real, real wacky. Hey - "wacky wednesday" - that has a nice ring to it. Even better than fixed rate second mortgages!

Note - nothing is better than fixed rate second mortgages.

Note again - some things may be better, it's all really a matter of opinion.
